Dansko for everyone

Dansko for everyone! A bold statement I know, but a closer look at these shoes and you may be surprised at what a clog can do for your life. It is no mistake that these clogs are...well comfortable. So for this blog I would like to talk about Dansko Clogs.

When I first started working at Takken's Shoes I wore my cheap Payless specials every day. Cute yes, but lets face it not comfortable. Then I got a chance to tryout a pair of Dansko clogs and let me say what a difference a little arch support makes! At first it felt weird and to tell you the truth I didn't like it, but then I wore them for an entire day and I noticed a couple of things. The first being my lower back wasn't hurting which in heels it normally would. And second when I wore my clogs there wasn't a part of my foot that hurt (usually by the end of the day I had heel pain). Now this is good and bad. Good because who wants to live with back and foot pain. Bad because I no longer needed my feet massaged at the end of the day. I'm sure my fiance would beg to differ though!

So I asked myself how does Dansko do it? Obviously a lot of thinking goes into good quality footwear. Admittedly more thinking about the technology than the aesthetics
but lets talk about Dansko. If you would like a picture referance as I talk about the clog please see the numbered diagram at the top of the page.

    • Reduces torque
  7. Outsole: Polyurethane
    • Shock absorption and flexability: so your joints don't hurt at the end of the day.
    • Can withstad surfaces of extreme heat and cold
    • the rocker bottom helps propell you forward when walking
    • Protects feet, legs, and back during long hours of standing and walking

I can break it down even further and say that Dansko clogs give you toe to heel support. This is why Dansko's are used by professionals such as doctors, nurses and chefs. Dansko shoes are recommended by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). To see which specific shoes have been given their Seal of Acceptance please click here.

For the longest time, I refused to get a pair. They just weren't cute enough to cost that much. But my mom got me a pair and you're dead right. I wear them every day now. They go so well with all my work pants, and theres nothing more comfortable. The clog toe is a little weird at first, but after a couple days you stop noticing it.
